Italian Sausage with Stuffed Banana Peppers

    • 8 oz Cream Cheese
    • 5 oz Shredded Mozzarella
    • 1 tbsp Anchovy Paste
    • 1/4 cup Minced Shallots
    • 2 oz Romano Cheese
    • Plain Bread Crumbs
    • 8in Link Italian Sausages
    • Large Banana Peppers
    • Spicy Marinara Sauce
    • Costanzo's 7in White Sub Roll


    1. Place first 6 ingredients in food processor and mix.
    2. Slowly add in bread crumb until mixture thickens. Set aside.
    3. Split banana peppers lengthwise and De-seed peppers.
    4. Place two peppers (each side of bun).
    5. Blanch in boiling water for 5 mins. to soften. Remove and dry with paper towels.
    6. Stuff each split side of peppers with cheese/breadcrumb stuffing.
    7. Place in broiler until brown on top.
    8. Grill 8in. link Italian sausage.
    9. Place two peppers (each side of bun).
    10. Ladle spicy marinara over top of sausage.
